HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
ReStore Assistant Manager
Reports to: ReStore Manager
Employment Status: Full time hourly position, 40 hours per week, non-exempt, includes Saturdays
Wage: Competitive pay and benefits package. Compensation dependent on experience

Primary Role: The ReStore Assistant Manager assists with the day-to-day operations of the ReStore. The ReStore is a retail business that sells new and donated building materials, household furnishings and appliances at discount prices to generate revenue to support the mission of Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity. The ReStore Assistant Manager works with the ReStore Manager on the overall business performance of the ReStore with responsibilities that include acquisition and sale of items; the planning and execution of an effective and efficient receiving process; and HR duties as needed such as hiring, training and supervision of staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities:

Operational:
* Promote donations, purchase product, drive sales and profits of the ReStore to provide sustainable funding to support the mission of Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity.
* Work with affiliate staff to develop marketing and advertising programs to build the ReStores visibility in the community. 
*Oversee scheduling of store activities including staff schedules, volunteer schedules and other special events. 
*Network with other Habitat ReStores and serve as mentor to interested affiliates.

Volunteer Management:
*Work in partnership with affiliate staff to train and engage volunteers in meaningful ways. 
*Provide supervision for ReStore volunteers. 

Finance and Administration:
*Ensure compliance with financial reporting practices, reconciling of daily sales and the daily closing out of all financial transactions.

*Dedication to and ability to articulate the mission and core values of Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity.
*Ability to plan, schedule, prioritize, coordinate, delegate and manage multiple work projects. 
*Attention to detail and overall quality control.
*Strong interpersonal skills, dealing well with a variety of people, personalities and backgrounds.
*Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods at a time. 

Education and Experience:
*BA or BS preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
*Experience in supervising and leading employees and volunteers, directing successful teams and accountable for meeting objectives.
*Knowledge in retail sales, marketing, salvage and environmental.
*Cursory knowledge in building materials preferred.
*Demonstrated ability in training, managing, leading and developing people. 
*Computer literate.
*Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
